A FAMILY APARTMENT UNDER THE ROOF

A family of four, including two children, buys an apartment with two bedrooms under the roof and wishes to make it a friendly and characterful apartment where each child can have their own bedroom.

CUSTOMER SPECIFICATIONS

  • Create a third bedroom so each child has their own space
  • Bring light into the apartment with small window openings and sloping walls.
  • Create storage to optimize space
  • Create a friendly and practical kitchen/dining room space

PROPOSALS FROM THE STUDIO

Modification of the partition plan of the two bedrooms to create the 3rd bedroom. The children's rooms are very small, so we have provided the bare essentials: a bed and a large desk space. The dressing area is common to both bedrooms and can play the role of separating the bedrooms since at this stage the two children like to share their games.

  • Create a parental dressing room in the master bedroom.
  • Arrange a large custom-made piece of furniture in the living room and create a view (which the apartment doesn't have) with wallpaper featuring the roofs of Paris that can be seen from the outside
  • Offer a very friendly and chic kitchen and dining area for family and friends

CHAMBRE PARENTALE

Creation of a master suite with pretty wallpaper at the head of the bed, in shades of pastel green, a painted wooden headboard unit for storing books and a large wall light like a sculpture.
Customized storage with a teleworking space are created and painted in color to optimize space.
The parents' bathroom is accessible from the bedroom directly, like in a hotel.

BATHROOM

The two bathrooms are decorated with colors and materials specific to the worlds of parents and children.

KITCHEN/DINING ROOM

The green color is found on the walls of the kitchen/dining room, complemented by a pretty textured wallpaper with plant motifs for the dining area.
The owners love cooking and spend a lot of time in this room which is sometimes also used for doing homework. The cooking wall is decorated with multiple rosettes, which give it a chic and offbeat character, and with black and white light sconces.
A custom kitchen allows you to optimize every corner and space to be able to cook in the best conditions.

The whole family moved in in time for the start of the school year and very quickly found their place and their habits in this family place that resembles them.

Their trust allowed us to offer original and unique design tips and decoration ideas to give personality to the apartment and optimize the space for four people.
