Sleek contemporary in the countryside
SUPPORT FROM A TO Z
Our clients have purchased a set of farmhouses consisting of a dwelling house and two adjoining barns.
They neededour expertiseto design the project from A to Z: transformation of the existing house into a family living room area and a master suite on the ground floor composed of a large dressing room, a bedroom area and also a large double bathroom each with its own shower his vanity unit.
Upstairs, raw attics that we have dedicated to the children's area
The existing house is now connected to the gigantic barn which has become a living room, kitchen and living room.
They wanted to preserve the structure of the buildings while bringing modernity through volumes and decoration.Their decorative request: Sleek contemporary chic.
This set is intended to be a primary residence.
THE ENTRANCE
Particularly keen to highlight an old bread oven present in an unused area of the house, our clients asked us for this area to become the future entrance.
A warm and practical entrance for a family of 5 people who love to entertain.
For this we chose to create custom furniture in shades of soft green and wood. We have created a cozy bench area for putting on shoes, this one is highlighted by pretty plant wallpaper.
THE CORRIDOR: CONNECTION BETWEEN THE SPACES
With its large aquarium bay, this very bright corridor which opens directly onto nature, creates a link between the family lounge and the living room.
By opting for wooden cladding we reinforce the warm side of this space to forget the famous “corridor effect”
A MAJESTIC LIVING ROOM
Our clients want a very large living room bringing together the kitchen, dining room and living room and above all with a cathedral ceiling to highlight the original framework of the building.
To modernize the kitchen area we opt for a very refined layout composed only of low furniture, a light marble worktop and light wood facades. The central island integrating cooking makes it easy to have lunch for 6.
And to mark the kitchen space we created a ceiling drop in the same colors as the wall which allows us to integrate contemporary lighting.
Two enormous workshop windows overlooking nature illuminate this large room and highlight its grandeur.
The lounge area made up of 2 very large sofas allows you to receive family and friends by the stove and facing the countryside. The very refined design of the furniture highlights all the majesty of the room and of this cathedral ceiling highlighted by the custom-made library which highlights the slope of the roof.
A COCOONING TV ROOM
Between the living room and the master suite we proposed a family TV lounge around an old fireplace which we have preserved by integrating a wood stove into the old fireplace.
A huge sofa for gatherings of 5 for family movie evenings. A set of custom-made furniture ending in a bench area for storing board games and a large, very decorative custom-made bookcase.
A majestic master suite
Our clients wanted a real master suite with their own space.
To isolate the bedroom from the TV lounge, we enter the suite through the “Monsieur/Madame” dressing area with a cupboard and niche section, and a deliberately open wardrobe section.
To access the room, each has its own entrance, a passage on the right, a passage on the left
For this resolutely modern and refined bedroom we have, as a reminder of the living room, created a ceiling drop which we have chosen to paint in the same shade of anthracite gray as the wall to highlight the headboard. A custom-made headboard, upholstered with two decorative fabrics in shades of gray and into which we have integrated reading lights. On either side, suspended, small custom-made light wood bedside tables to complete this hotel-style decoration.
Facing the bed, the TV is integrated into a niche under which cupboards are hidden.
Following the same pattern as for access to the bedroom, everyone accesses this duo bathroom from their side of the bed.
Duo bathroom:
A big bathroom fantasy, duo and solo at the same time. Each has its own large shower, each has its own basin in a large communicating space.
Very modern and refined atmosphere once again, we offered cement effect porcelain stoneware floor tiles in very mineral shades of very light beige, on the wall two references of textured tiles and in slate gray color.
The vanity units are in dark wood and stone basins.
Currently under construction, our clients are absolutely delighted by the project that we have designed for them.
